OUR VERY OWN PUPPET PROJECT

Chris Burke is a self taught Master Puppeteer who has successfully worked with puppets since 1987. This is testament to Chris and the power of puppets as a medium to engage, educate and entertain people of all ages. Chris has presented at conferences, in schools, theatres and communities throughout Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada.

Chris shares her vast knowledge and skills with others and mentors emerging puppeteers. She helps people and agencies to develop their puppet projects and tell local stories in ways that will entertain and engage local audiences.

Chris draws on her broad experience as a puppeteer, script writer, director and producer to give support through every step of the project. This may include:

Chris is invited by organisations to nurture innovative puppet projects. The process may involve intensive training blocks or a series of weekly or monthly workshops over time. The work is planned to meet the needs of different projects.
